DesignSnap was founded by Matthew Almand and Jourdan Hardy. We are highly experienced designers with a long industry history spanning back to the beginning of the 2000s. With our many years working in the software space, we've mostly focused on apps, products, websites and graphic design. Our experience makes us ideally suited to deliver high quality designs fast because we know our craft so well we can fill in the blanks a lot of the time, and this saves the back and forth typically needed with lesser experienced designers.

Our long working history has shown us time and again how waste is created in companies around processes and numerous meetings that decide little and deliver less value. We hate waste. We are passionate designers with a desire to deliver value in each hour of the day. So we designed a subscription model that allows you the customer to derive maximum value for your dollar. You don’t need to pay our benefits or for vacation time. We are constantly striving to make each and every aspect of our business as efficient as possible so that we focus on making quality designs in every hour we work.

The subscription model means that we are available to take your requests and work them one at a time during a regular set of hours. We work quickly and efficiently so that each request can be fulfilled as fast as possible. However, to keep the cost low for each client, we serve multiple clients. We do have a maximum number we can serve each month, and we will not take on new customers unless we have the capacity and can keep our high quality standard in place for each item we craft. There may be times when some tasks are delayed longer due to higher volume, but we will clearly communicate this with each client as the need arises. In fact, we will often communicate the turnaround time of each task, and you will be informed of the stage that each request is in.

We work under the principle that in order to deliver speed without sacrificing quality, we must keep work simple. But this is in fact a main benefit of our work. By providing more simple designs to end clients, we can rapidly iterate until the final version is realized. Simple is cleaner, easier to understand and usually the best approach for most cases.

The key here is communication and clarity. Take for example a website. When you make your request, we provide a template to questions we ask as part of preparing the request. In the example of the website we obviously will want to know audience, tone, brand and content. But on top of this, we would also like you to describe what look you are going for and usually provide 2 or 3 examples of sites you feel represent the look and presence you are trying to achieve. This can really expedite work and usually means less revisions.

Revisions can be a time-consuming part of the design process as it means you must review the work then write up and share these desired revisions, which then must be communicated and worked on. A single revision cycle could be fast or take a long period, it really is unknown. Ideally, we will make as many revisions as needed to satisfy the client fully. However, if an excessive amount of revisions is needed, then there has been a breakdown in communication at some point. Ultimately, we would work this on a case-by-case basis, but this is more of an edge case than normal operating procedure. As mentioned, we have a long history in the design industry so we can fill in the blanks a lot of the time and so typically revisions should rarely ever go over 3 total for any one item.

Pausing your subscription means the next month will not be billed and each month following until you decide to resume your subscription. This is different from cancelling, where all of your request backlog and login information is deleted after you have cancelled the subscription.

Your account will remain valid for the remainder of the current month before it is closed and fully cancelled. Note that work completed for a cancelled subscription however will not be removed and is archived for two reasons. The first is that we reserve the right to present work for our own benefit even though the client owns exclusive rights and secondly, we hold this work in case the client decides to re-subscribe and this would in turn help to pick back up quickly in these cases.

We mostly prefer to deliver your designs in Figma. However, we understand that isn't always optimal, so we can accommodate certain requests on a case-by-case basis. This can be communicated along with the request individually.

Only a physical time limit, since we complete tasks one by one in order Monday through Friday (hey, we need our weekends). But you can continue to request as much as you need. We will inform you when the task is picked up and typically provide a rough estimate of turn around time. Usually with new clients, the first few requests are more time-consuming and also revisions are more likely, however additional requests tend to speed up since the foundation has been established as well as the communication relationship.

Our subscription is handled through Stripe. Stripe Accepts credit cards, and through common online payment apps. Once you are subscribed, all instructions and tooling information is provided to you so that you can control your subscription and your queue of work easily.

AI’s greatest benefit currently is that it can speed up design tremendously in providing assets and content that get provided in our design work rather than us spending time scouring the web for these items. It is also excellent for providing samples that can help us understand the vision of the client much more quickly as drafts or high level concepts. In addition, we utilize AI to help speed up and inform our processes internally. Given all of these benefits, however, we still make our designs from scratch for our clients. After all, this is our skill and the basis for our business.
